Good for bedroom server PC
I'm using NX-N100 as a home server. I can recommend this PC. Performance: CPU has enough speed to run personal web servers on Proxmox. Extensibility: It can install both 2.5'' SATA and M.2 SSD. M.2 slot doesn't support NVMe I connected M.2 NVMe SSD via external USB enclosure because USB 3.1 gen 2 is faster than internal SATA, and SSD are not affected by PC's high temperature. Heat management: No noise thanks to large heatsink of chassis. I experienced thermal throttling of internal M.2 SSD when benchmarking. It may be a limitation of passive cooling. It is a minor issue for me since I use NX-N100 as a server, usually low load.
Affordable and capable little machine
I've been using the Maxtang NX-100 for around 3 months, running Windows 11 Pro and connected to a music controller keyboard to act as a VST instrument synth. I have been very happy with the performance and reliability. Being completely silent, it has no impact on my recording environment and the Intel N-100 has ample performance for running multiple instances of high end VSTs such as Native Instruments Kontakt and Arturia Pigments. Connectivity is great for a mini-PC, the USB-C port can directly power a Native Instruments S88 Mk3 keyboard with no problem and the rest of the I/O is more than I need for this application. The unit is really solid, well designed and a very affordable alternative to a laptop in this situation, especially if you intend to run it as a headless device like I am. My use case is probably quite unusual, but I think these little passively cooled machines can fit in and solve all sorts of needs. I honestly forget it's even there, silently doing its job.
Best nuc mini pc at this price
This is a great mini pc at this price. The build quality is superb, similar to intel nuc. It is metal and heavy. Offers two storage options and easy to upgrade. I love the ports options available. If i had no extra cost in shipping and extra taxes, this would be the best i can purchase. Deby was always available and helped with all the queries. Even my purchase was small, he helped me with everything. Maxtang is the one i can trust after popular brands like Intel, Asus, MSI who offers mini pcs. Although there are many mini pc sellers on alibaba, this company products are of top notch and better than others. If you are looking for a budget mini pc, you can't go wrong with this. Highly recommended.
N305 Powerhouse!
I have been looking for a N305 miniPC for my Plex Server and came across Maxtang computers per Reddit. I am so glad I found about this company since the N100 is the only version I could find. The Maxtang MTN-ALN50 Mini PC fits my needs perfectly! The price is right and the shipping to Hawaii was within a week, very fast. I had an issue with my unit but Deby quickly addressed it, very excellent Customer Service! I thought I would have a hard time getting assistance but that was not the case. All replies have been within a day or 2. The build quality is excellent and I was able to install my m.2 sata drives...just take note that these dont take the NVME drive but the Sata version only. I installed 32GB RAM and Debian 12 and now configuring my Docker Containers. I highly recommend Maxtang and definitely will be doing business again
Support is great
It's a great computer for work (I’m a developer), and it meets all my needs perfectly. It has an excellent CPU, great memory, and flawless graphics. I have no complaints about the machine. The customer service is outstanding—I needed post-sales support and was very well assisted; they truly respect their customers. You can buy with confidence! I’ll share some screenshots I took. I don’t usually game, but I ran PUBG to test it out. For gaming, heavier titles might see a slight FPS drop, but for other games I tested, it ran beautifully—for example, CS:GO runs perfectly smooth. I first bought one mini PC, and I liked it so much that I bought another. It saved me energy and space while doing the same job as two large desktops!
An excellent option for most people
I bought this PC as I was in the market for a new desktop PC and had heard some positive things about these mini devices. It arrived fairly quickly but setting it up took a while as it had no operating software installed and no instructions. Maxtang customer support are very good and helped me through the process and made it clear I should have ordered the PC with software pre installed. It runs extremely well and has enough connections for most uses but it does make a lot of fan noice when used for gaming. Overall I would say this is an excellent option for most people and can only improve over time as the company learns from customer feedback.
Great as a little low-power server
I love the formfactor of the MAX-N100, the footprint is tiny and its performance is quite decent when you consider how low-power it is. I'm using it as a headless Linux server in my homelab. It's not much bigger than a Raspberry Pi with a case, which needs a USB power supply for power. It's much smaller than an ex-corporate Dell/Lenovo micro-workstation, and uses way less power for equivalent performance (maybe comparable performance to a Core i5-7500T). There is no external power brick, THIS IS SUCH A GREAT QUALITY-OF-LIFE FEATURE! Yes you pay extra for this, and you could get a much faster/more capable mini workstation for the same money, but this is just a nice all-round performer and great for hosting network services. One cable for power, one or two cable for ethernet, and you're done.
Great mini pc, excellent service.
The computer has great performance, is well-built, and was shipped securely with a tracking code provided. What disappointed me was the confusing information on the website. I bought the computer thinking it had a SATA connection, but when it arrived, it didn’t. Aside from that detail, everything else about Maxtang’s service was excellent.
